About Me
My journey towards becoming a Birth Doula
I can you meet you in Toulon, Var (83) and its surroundings.
My background
A little More About Me
- I was born in Toulon, Var (83)
- Travel and nature lover
- Fluent in French and English
- Switched carrers after a PhD in Volcanology
After working almost 10 years in an office at my 9 to 5 job, I felt the need to find meaning to my job. I needed to find something that was really rewarding and where I truly helped people.
During one of those moment when moral is low, you know something needs to change to find yourself again, I found a birth doula training close to where I lived (I had quickly heard about it before). I took the training and it confirmed that being a birth doula was what I was looking for. I really felt empowered and needed to help pregnant women go through labor, in this truly magical moment but also really difficult and vulnerable. I wish to be right by your side, continuously supporting you physically and emotionally to help you get the birthing experience you've always hoped for.
What is a Birth Doula?
A birth doula is by your side to support you physically and emotionally during labor and delivery (but also to help prepare you during pregnancy and facilitate postpartum). We offer evidence-based information to help support your decisions, we are here for your partner to help them understand and be there for you, and we do it with love.
As a birth doula, my support is non-medical. I do not perform any medical acts, a doctor or midwife is always present with me during labor to guarantee my client medical safety.

My Mission
Every woman
deserves a doula
I truly believe that every woman deserves to have a doula at her birth to support her wherever she is in the world.
What I always say to my clients and even my family members that are moms, is that your baby doesn’t judge whether you’re a good mom or not, they just know how you feel. So if you feel good, happy and take good care of yourself (even if it means leaving your baby for a moment), your baby will be good too. And if you are asking yourself if you’re a good mom, know that you already are!
Frequently Asked Questions
A birth doula is someone who is trained and experienced to support their clients before, during and after labor. Birth doulas offer physical and emotional support to their client and partner, their continuous presence during labor, provide advocacy and evidence-based information, and surround them with love.
Its goal is to help their client get a safe, empowered and satisfying birth experience, whether it takes place in a hospital, birth center, or at home. A birth doula does not have a medical training, they do not perform any medical procedures, and they do not speak for their clients (As seen in the DONA International website https://dona.org/what-is-a-birth-doula/)
A midwife is a medically trained health care professional that provides prenatal check-ups and support low risk labor and delivery. A birth doula offers a non-medical physical and emotional support during birth, and gives ideas and comfort measures to support their client and partner for an empowering birth. A birth doula does not replace a midwife, they work hand in hand.
It has been shown that having a birth doula during labor improves birth outcomes. The total length of labor decreases, the risk of having a c-section drops 25-50%, the use of pain medicines and epidurals decreases, as well as less the use of instrumentation to help bring your baby out. In August 2026, ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) published a new statement “ Partnering With Doulas In Clinical Settings”. The guidance offers recommendations on how ob-gyns can help foster this essential relationship with the goal of improving patient experiences and outcomes. You can read it here.
It can vary, and depends on the different services offered and the years of experience for example. My offers and prices are available here.
At the moment, in France birth doulas occupation is not reglemented and therefore not covered by social security. However, some health insurance (mutuelle in French) like Nostrum Care can partially cover some services. Additionally, DONA certified birth doulas CD(DONA) are included in your coverage if you have Tricare.
It depends on the location you chose and the country where you live. Unfortunately, in France a lot of hospitals still only allow one support person in the room with you. In that case, I can offer you a continuous virtual support during your labor instead. I will be available at any time of day or night during your labor. If you chose to give birth at home, I will work with your midwife and join you in person at the same time as the midwife.
I am currently residing and offering in person support in Toulon, Var (south-east of France, 1 hour drive east of Marseille), but I can visit you in the area within 20 miles of my home. In the case you are too far from me, I offer virtual support.
